NELA Forest School will be offering three Camp sessions this summer at our Elysian Park site.

Our 100% outdoor program runs from 9 am-1 pm daily for four 2-week-long sessions.
All classes will offer 2-, 3-, and 5-day/week options.

We will also offer the Nest afternoon class as an add-on: 2, 3, or 5 days/week, 1/1:30 pm-5 pm.

Camp is open to children ages 2.5-7.5 (on or before June 22nd) who have previously been in a group child care setting.

Because our sessions are short, we do not use our emergent curriculum. Instead! We follow Mother Nature’s lead and investigate the changes in the flora and fauna around us. We will continue to have our usual classroom favorites, such as clay, the mud kitchen, and the library. In the summertime, we start our hikes early, so be sure to be in class so your kiddo can head right out! Examples of possible observation and investigations: melting and cooking with the sun, bugs, birds and their flight, gifts from the trees, water, indigenous flora and fauna! The possibilities are endless!

Camp Sessions 2026

Session 1: June 22 - July 3

*Camp offers will begin going out at the beginning of February, 2026
Registration deadline for new families is February 13, 2026
Though applications will continue to be accepted until full

Camp Tuition Rates:

Chickadees & Sparrows (age 2.5-4) and Hawks (ages 3.5 - 7.5): 2-week session, 4 hours per day, 9 am-1 pm, 2, 3, or 5 days per week (student/teacher ratio 5:1)

All Classes: 9 AM–1 PM

  • 5 days/week: $840/session (best value)

  • 3 days/week: $630/session

  • 2 days/week: $420/session

Nest: 1 PM–5 PM (4:30 PM Fridays) - this is our optional extended day program (not stand-alone from the morning programming)

  • 5 days/week: $420/session (best value)

  • 3 days/week: $305/session

  • 2 days/week: $210/session

To confirm and hold your child’s spot, we require a 50% deposit per session, paid in advance, which will be credited toward your tuition. Remaining tuition will be due one month prior to the start of each session and is non-refundable.

Unfortunately, we are unable to offer financial aid for Summer Camp at this time.
