The Nest 2026-2027

We have full-day options!
The Nest is our afternoon program for community members who need a full school day.

The Nest takes place from 1/130 to 5:00 p.m., M-Th, and Friday at 430 following your child’s morning class of Chickadees, Sparrows, or Hawks. Children can stay for some or all of that time, and we offer 2-, 3-, or 5-day/wk options to match your morning schedule. In the Nest, children will continue their explorations and nature-based child-led play. They will also have a nap/rest period on nap mats in a nice, shady spot. Of course, not all our kiddos are still napping, so those who are up and about can use this time to rest on the library blanket, read, draw, or otherwise take a little breather. Nest has spots for 20 children each day, with a 4:1 student-teacher ratio.

After naps or restful play, teachers spend time with kiddos exploring any number of themes and activities: music, yoga, nature hikes, art, creating foraged art, and much more!
